Cancer affects all of us in some way, whether through a loved one, a friend, or someone in our community. Many of us have witnessed the toll it takes on both the individuals fighting it and their families. The emotional and physical challenges are undeniable, and it leaves a lasting impact on everyone involved. Every story of resilience has deepened my commitment to supporting groundbreaking research and funding critical treatments that can save lives. By contributing to this cause, I hope to help improve survival rates and bring hope to those battling blood cancers, ensuring that no one has to endure the same struggles that so many have already faced. 

ANNIE:

My family has been greatly impacted by blood cancers for many generations.  With my campaign, I hope to HONOR my Dad, Christian Herff,  who had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2021 and REMEMBER my Aunt, Kay Fraley, who I never had the opportunity to meet since she lost her battle with Leaukemia at the age of 14 in 1981. Our family has experienced the great strides in scientific research for blood cancers but still today every 3 minutes someone in the US is diagnosed with blood cancer.

RIYA:

I am fundraising in honor of Sawyer Case, a 7-year-old from San Antonio who is currently in remission from B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. After being diagnosed in 2022, Sawyer bravely battled through treatment and recently rang the bell to mark the end of his journey. Thanks to life-saving treatments funded by LLS, Sawyer is now healthy, full of energy, and spending precious time with his family. His story is a powerful reminder of the impact of research and the hope it brings to families like his.
